Today I got a LUD on my AP. Documents mailed. Finally after 2 weeks of waiting time. Nebraska center is slow really slow. But I am happy can now go on my business trip.

Today I got my first soft LUD on my case. Last week I got a letter from USCIS that they had approved to expedite my case. I would rather have seen the AP but the waiting game continues. :eek:

There are many members who think IV and other members are fighting for re-reversal of VB or increase in visa number for 2007....
why dont they understand that we are fighting to avoid rejection, we are not asking them to re-revise bulletin, all we want is just accept the application without rejecting them, so that we can save ourselves from loosing money and time. dont make fun of IV and other members who's putting their efforts in it, no matter what the result is. if you dont want to participate please stop visiting this forum.

HR 5882 has the answer for the FIFO problem.
USCIS is pretty good with approving cased based on PD for 3/4th of the year and in the last quarter they for the "Hail mary" play and DOS gives a wide PD range during the last quarter for USCIS to play. Apart from recapturing wasted visa's HR 5882 also has an automatic recapture provision to avoid any future visa wastage. If this provision is in place then UCSIS/DOS will not be in a position to playing the "some how use up visa by sep 31" card to approve random cases.
Rather than focusing on HR 5882 many are still pondering about LUD's and sill day dreaming. The demand for visa's is much higher than the supply of visa's, it doesn't matter what new spillover policy USCIS adopts, it can only provide incremental improvements. For a quantum improvment in the situation we need a legislation and HR 5882 is the best option we have now.

Explain to the DMV about this... and try not to go on a weekend. They are extremely busy on weekends are easily irritated. Find them when they are relatively calm and free...

So you are looking for motivation? Your post do not indicate that you are looking for motivation. There are those who are undecided or who cannot find enough energy/motivation to do something, and those people need motivation. You don't fall in that category. You are pretty much convinced that you don't belong here. Now you are just spoiling the environment to make sure that others all leave looking at you and mad-dog bickering. I think, we should try to make a law that says to give the citizenship after 5 years from the day when I-1485 was filed (and not when it was approved). This will benefit majority of us who have waited forever after filing I-1485 and does not deserve to spend another 5 years if they wish to take Citizenship.

I have always been a passive reader of this post and multiple other similar posts. It helped me a lot and I thought sharing my positive porting experience will help/encourage others. Below are details of my long journey

a. Filed - July 8 2003 (no masters, no 5 years, Title: Systems Analyst)
b. Approved - August 31 2006
2. EB3 I140 (NSC)
a. Filed - October 11 2006
b. Approved - April 6 2007
3. I485 (NSC)
a. Filed - July 19 2007
b. RFE - April 2009 (Birth Certificate related for me and Medical related for my wife)
4. Perm
a. Same company. By 2011, I was promoted multiple times and currently managing multiple projects. Every H1b that was approved after 2003 clearly showed the growth and the promotion on the job title and salary.
b. Filed - Feb 9 2011 (Progressive growth within the same company, Title: Project Director)
c. Approved - Feb 15 2011
5. EB2 I140 (TSC)
a. Filed - March 9 2011, Premium Processing
b. Approved - March 21 2011 (A# and Priority Date retained)
6. Interfiling
a. March 24 2011 - Created a SR requesting the process I485 using the new EB2 140
b. March 29 2011 - Lawyer sent the official Interfile Request
c. April 5 2011 - Contacted both the senators and congressman. They were very prompt in responding back. Also sent emails to NSCFollowup and EBUpdate.
d. April 7 2011 - Went for an Infopass Appointment (Useless in my opinion)
e. April 14 2011 - Got the magic email at 9:15pm for both me and my wife. One of the happiest days in my life.
f. Waiting on the physical cards to take a long break :)

Set up for $50 recurring contribution. Never in my life did I felt so charged up as I did in last few days. Thank you IV for inspiring.
I feel there is value to creating atleast "paid members only" section in addition to regular free zone, so that quality of dicussion is elevated.
Then it wont be a non profit organization any more. You can ask for donation but cant force for it.

Thanks for ur support and understanding. I think we better let these guys take a shot at what they are about to do. Immature and narrow minded is what they are and thats how they wanna be. Looks like they've been watching those Indian vigilante movies a lot and they think that they can get away with fighting a foreign Govt agency. They'll understand what we meant when they receive a cold shoulder from USCIS :D.

I have nothing against them and as part of IV, I am just voicing an opinion which they could reject politely.
Some of the comments on my comments are really harsh as if I am personally attacking them.

They can do whatever they want and good luck to them.
BTW, I used to have several red dots before and I don't know why they changed it to green. They still have a block on one of my IP address.
