If you are in EB2, then might as well go for PP for the I-140. Regular at Nebraska is taking 8 months. Given the way dates move erratically, if you get current in the next couple of months (I hope you do, mine is the same PD) you wont have I-140 to worry about, you'll be all set.

I believe so. I assume that USCIS eventually sends a letter acknowledging the revocation, but I don't know for sure.
Even my attorney says the same thing that they do not represent any revocations and says that there will be an acknowledgment from USCIS regarding revocation.
I have requested my old employer to provide me the I-140 revocation acknowledgment, but he denies saying he did not receive it and USCIS does not always send acknowledgments. That is his ball game, I could not poke around much.

I am confused and think about this daily. I am here in US for the past 8+ years and I am 33 now.
I really envy all of you guys who can return to your country. I have been here 8+ years and I am 53. My country does not even give me a passport and in top of that I am stuck in the namecheck black hole.

We can predict EB2 movement but EB3 is kind of gone case for this year too. Without any CIR, we can just pray that EB2 for all countries become current or at least move until july fiasco date (Aug 2007) so that spillover starts trickling to EB3.
Since EB2 I/C after Aug 2007 PD haven't filed their I-485 yet so the visa numbers if any left out by clearing until Aug 2007 should go to EB3I (the most retrogressed country). I don't see it happening this year but in 2010 it's a possibility.

I doubt it, uscis used up 60k visas in one month just to make sure we dont get any ead, why in the world after doing all this nonsense would they accept our applications.
Well...this is the same argument we gave when we first heard about the July VB rumour in june but no one belived. I hope badluck's lawyer brings us some good luck but this is hard to believe this time.

Chase, Union Savings bank, Wells Fargo & Citi. I think if the sales person(agent) talking to us is well informed about our status they will work with the underwriters to get the loan approved- since it helps on their commissions as well.

I have done a Mortgage and 2 re-fi in the past with no issues, but last time, I had issues with Bank of America, Wells Fargo and one other bank (don't remember name). The reason was being on AOS/EAD, They were fine with H1b, but did not understand what EAD / AOS is. It all depends on the underwriter and if he is not knowledgeable on the Visa issues, then you are done. You can't ask for an alternate underwriter. I was able to secure through a credit union though.

We ( I and my wife) applied I-485, AP and EAD on July 26th, 2007 got recipt on Sep 26 th,2007. Finger printing done on Oct 31, 2007. My wife got her EAD and AP( 11/09/2007) and I got my EAD but my AP is not approved yet. I contacted with Texas Service center and they told that our (for me and my wife) namecheck and finger printing have been cleared. But my AP is pending because of background check. I asked is it different kind of check , she said yes but as usual could no tell how long it usuallky take to complete this kind of check and also when this background check has been requested.
I need to travel in January. Does anyone has the same situation ? Please reply

A number of inquiries have come to us regarding delays in PERM labor certification case adjudication. Beginning early in 2007, there has been a noticeable slowing in case processing at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Atlanta Processing Center. This center is one of two locations where PERM labor certifications are adjudicated. The other location is in Chicago. This slow-down is a marked change from the generally fast PERM labor certification decisions that had become the norm.

We at the Murthy Law Firm made inquiry about this matter, to gain some insight into why things had changed, and, of course, to determine how the situation might be improved. We were advised that personnel temporarily had been reallocated away from the PERM cases. The Atlanta Processing Center also processes temporary labor certifications needed in H2B cases. Due to demand and time constraints, personnel were diverted to work on the temporary labor certifications, which meant delays in the PERM labor certifications.

may 11 was five weeks back......its third week of june right now!!!
Still no favorable movements...I do not wanna miss this July deadline....I am sure dates for EB3 will retrogress in August.....then ticket to India and UAE!!
