I'm wondering how many are still awaiting advanced parole? I am travelling in a months time, and do intend to go for H1 stamping but at the same time expecting my AP to come through before I leave. Whats up with this delay? Anyone else in the same situation? Please respond.

Hi Friends, I went to DMV PA (Bridgevile) to renew my drivers license recently. They are not accepting original EAD/ AP, copy of 485 receipt plus employer letter. They are asking for original 485 receipt. Unfortunately my ex-employer did not give the original receipt.
Did any body renew the PA DL without original 485 receipt?
Did you ask them to show you the rule book where it says you need I-485 receipt?. If not, please do.

Applied for AP - Aug.16 with NSC
The funny thing is,that as with EAD card,in a day after I subscribed for e-mail update with USCIS they send me e-mail that my AP and family members have been mailed.

My case is also with TSC with 140 approved and there is absolutely no change in the message. There is not even a soft LUD in any of our cases.

This will infact increase offshoring.
These companies will pay the extra fees, but will change their onshore/offshore model. Will use less H1/L1 visas , but will increase the headcount of offshore operations.
So the smart senator will force more jobs to be outsourced. These jobs will never comeback once gone. If we look back at the 2000 recession, it caused a major shift in the way US companies looked at outsourcing. Pre-2000 many companies didn't believe that all jobs could be outsourced. 2000 recession forced them to think otherwise.
These kind of bills will cause a re-thinking in corporate america's thought process. They will think of creative ways to outsource. Against this senator's hopes, it will reduce jobs here.

I am not supporting this bill in anyway, I hate infy as much as I hate this bill. Remember these companies did not leave any stone unturned, milked the client every possible way and expoilted the employees to the maximum extent. In one another post - VLDRao was saying these companies does the tax filing on behalf the emoloyee, get the refund and again claim that tax in india using double taxation aoivdance treaty.

Not Volunteer but Leaders...
Volunteer is a person who takes responsibility and does a task. Here the question was raised to have new leaders who can take a flight to Washington DC on Monday morning, change the law by noon to issue GC to every EB category, have a lunch at Olive Garden, come back monday evening.
oh that's easy stuff - I can do that :p sign me up. I love chicken parmesan at olive garden. There is just one problem. What do you want me to do after my lunch and before my evening flight. That's just waste of too much of my time. :rolleyes:

c) Less porting from EB3->EB2
If implemented may help the EB2-I/C backlog move faster. Probably USCIS's way of reducing the backlog!!

1. The neufield memo of Employer-employee relationship & giving not 3 years of H1B visas but in some cases depending on the contract 3 months of H1B visas.
2. The fee hikes of H1B & L1 visas.
3. Make EB1, EB2 etc more strict to make it almost impossible to get anymore EB2 apps approved. BTW there is nothing which stops them from issuing another memo to review all EB2/EB3 I-140 approval and revise the approvals & deny them if deemed necessary. What would you say then?
You completely missed the point. Put the events in chronological order and you will realize why IV Core insists on meeting lawmakers. Pretty soon, there will be no avenues even with a lot of legitimate experience for an immigrant unless they end up winning nobel prizes....sorry there are not many nobel prize winners in this world and I have not met one so far.
Anyway, hope others continue to meet the lawmakers leaving your EB2-EB3 divide to ask them for recapture and removal of country limits.

What address is used by USCIS to send the notice and FP? The receipt # are sent to the lawyer and the applicant I guess. Is the FP notice also sent to the lawyer and applicant?What address is used by USCIS to send the FP? Is it the address we provide in 485,765 AND 131?

See what I was saying. They are not supposed to grant CP appointments and approvals in July per the regulations. They have decided to bend the rules to approve the currently pending 485s and CPs. They came up with this lame excuse that since the visas were already shipped out to the consular posts ................yada yada. Point is as I said they can't do 18K CP applicatrions in a day at the consulates the way they seem to have done for the 485s. Even this I am not sure.
I doubt whether they have sent out all 60K 485 approvals either, they probably will in the course of the next month or thereabouts.
I'll say it again, they want 485s out but they don't want them in for whatever reason. It is getting clearer.

The visa number is requested and alloted at the time of scheduling interview for immigrant visa for CP. If the interview results in declining the visa, then visa number is sent back to DoS. This is standard practice.
Typically for all July interviews, visa number is already allocated (in May/June). So these applicants can be still issued immigrant visa (aka green card) if they clear the interview.
