I have to file for I-485 along with EAD and AP, I live in Phoenix and I am applying for 485 based on an approved I-140 based on NIW. Please let me know if I have to file in the Phoenix lockbox or send it to Nebraska.

There is a mistake in my 485 cover letter. The letter states that I am EB3 but actually I am EB2.
Will this cause any problem? Will USCIS deny my case? Please note we included I-140 approval form in the file.

I heard this ACT is voting on March 2 by senete members, (PHD students directly change to GC), even it pass tomorrow, how long it will become a law?Whether it needs to be passed by congress next?Is it possible to become a law before June?

Lost in Transit..?
My EAD got approved on 08/14/2007 - TSC - (USCIS Site Update) but still I am waiting for the Physical card � does it really take more than
15 days to be delivered..? or should I be concerned..?
Did any body go through same�please share.

Can i leave the employer while i-140 is pending.....???If emplyer assures me that he won't revoke the i-140...???

I am new to this forum.
Is there any difference in timline to file a GC for sibling in "Family member of a permanent resident in a preference category" AND "Family Member of a U.S. Citizen in a Preference Category".
I am a GC holder right now and would like know, if I should wait to become Citizen or file GC for my sibling now.

Hi,
I was an employee with company A till march 2008 and i kept a H1b transfer to
company B on march 24th 2008. I was working to company B for an year
on receipt number applied for h1b transfer at USCIS. I got an RFE with
company B in sept 2008 mean while my I-94 got expired on August 2008.
Company B answered the RFE and submitted to USCIS on October 2008.
After waiting for H1B transfer to get approved it got denied on march 10th
2009.
Now i wanted to change my status from H1b to F1(CPT). My questions are
1. If i apply for transfer from H1B to F1 will i be getting New I-94 from
USCIS?
2. Should i be going back to india for getting stamped after i change my
status to F1 ?
3. Can i be on a student status from the day i receive the receipt notice
from USCIS for change of status ?

1. When NVC sends a I-864 form. is priority date to be current for this ?
2. When NVC sends a packet 3. is priority date to be current for this ?
3. what will be happen if the priority date is current and interview was scheduled in next month, and then priorty date suddenly will not be available in next month.
4. Can I track status with NVC using I-140 receipt number ?

Hi All,
I fulfill the requirements of AC 21 (485 pending for more then 2 years and I 140 approved long back)
My current project is not my employer's client. There is one middle vendor from which I have got this project.
Now, I have heard that many consulting companies make you sign a contract which states that any client you find becomes their client and therefore forbidding you to join them directly. As we usually dont see papers while signing I am not sure if I did sign any such thing. My question is, if my employer sues me on this clause, does it hamper my I-485 processing? Any input in this context would be highly appreciated.Tension is killing me

I got my H1 approved in Oct 2004 and it was from Oct 2004 - Oct 2007. I used only 6 months of H1 and later went on TN (work visa for Canadian citizens) and remained in US working on TN for 4 years. I was in US all these years. Now even the earlier H1 approval duration is over, Can I apply for H1 with another employer using the old 2004 H1 quota cap or it has to be under new 2009 cap? Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if there is a way to efile for renewal of EAD & AP or do we really need a lawyer. It is turning out to be too expensive to file for a renewal through my comany lawyer. If it is possible, can someone who has already self filed advise of the procedure?

It's true that Obama is focusing on the economy now, but if we do a massive flower campaign now it will get us press and attention and "loosen" things up, then we can go for a second even bigger flower campaign in the spring and in the summer when the previous flower campaign will still be alive in the public's memory. That way people will say "wait, legals? that's different than illegals, and it sounds serious"
We need to get ourselves noticed! The illegals had Obama on the Hispanic radio show with "Piolin Sotelo" last week. Why aren't we doing anything? We are not cowards, are we? The illegals can but we legals can't?
Let's not stop with the flowers until we're heard. We send this week, then in a couple of months and so forth until they fix the injustice we're in
